Gouden-Handreibrug, Torenbrug en Augustijnenbrug (Gouden-Handrei Bridge, Toren Bridge and Augustine Bridge)
Three bridges for the price of one! A splendid discovery trail that starts at the Gouden-Handrei Bridge. Keep a look-out here for the hand holding an eel - a reference in stone to the legend that tells of a demonic golden hand and an unfortunate eel fisherman. Carry on to the 14th century Toren Bridge, where a lantern stands right on the bridge. At the end of your bridge trail is the Augustine Bridge, one of the city’s oldest. And you can rest awhile on its 14th century stone benches, once medieval shop displays. Strolling from one bridge to the next, you link these picturesque views one to another.
